HISTORY
|
The non-profit Alexianer St. Hedwig Hospital, founded on September 14, 1846, is the oldest Catholic hospital in Berlin and stands for tradition with a future. The Alexianer are a diverse and modern network in the healthcare industry. Health, care, support, and promotion of people – for over 800 years we have been committed to this task. The Alexianer St. Hedwig Hospital is a modern acute care hospital with 427 beds. As an emergency hospital, we ensure regional patient care in Berlin 24 hours a day with our ten clinics, interdisciplinary centers, and specialized departments. At the Alexianer St. Hedwig Hospital in Berlin, we provide services in the specialties of anesthesia and intensive care, geriatrics, internal medicine, cardiology, psychiatry, psychotherapy and psychosomatics, radiology, sleep and chronomedicine, urology, urogynecology, and visceral surgery.

| Güllü Kuzu |
Güllü Kuzu has over 30 years of experience in nursing, healthcare, policy consulting, digitalization, and international recruitment of skilled workers in the healthcare sector. As the Integration Officer at the Alexianer St. Hedwig Clinics in Berlin, she works on intercultural organizational development and innovative projects, such as VR training for nurses. Previously, she was head of Kom-zen, the staff unit of the Senate Department for Science, Health, and Nursing for city-wide strategy development for improving healthcare in Berlin, and a research associate at the Charité, where she advanced nursing research on digital technologies. She also audited agencies for international recruitment of skilled workers as an external auditor on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Health. In the German Bundestag, she was responsible for cooperation between political decision-makers and institutions at the state and federal levels. Her work combines practical nursing expertise with strategic policy consulting and research. She is particularly committed to equal opportunities, digitalization, and the promotion of international skilled workers in the healthcare sector.

Lya Einenkel has been a nursing professional since 2018 and holds a Bachelor of Science in Management and Healthcare Provision. She is currently pursuing her Master's degree in Management and Quality Development in Healthcare and has been working as a nursing scientist at the Alexianer St. Hedwig Hospital for the Nursing Directorate since May 2024.

She has a Bachelor degree in therapy and nursing science. She has clinical experience in internal medicine and acute geraitric rehabilitation. Her current interests include participation in Erasmus projects. She is passionate about developing evidence-based concepts and implementing them into practice. She focuses on coordinating and organizing nurses-related processes. |
